You made it! You found a place with new possibilities, new opportunities, and new ways to love God and to love your neighbor. We’re glad you found us. St Stephen Lutheran is a community of Jesus people who believe that God welcomes us as we are, whatever that looks like. Whether we are straight or gay, tall or short, unorganized or totally on top of things, God loves us just as God created us. In worship, we meet the living God in Word and Meal. God sends us out from God's table to change the world, one person at a time. Join us for worship and fellowship. Say hello to the pastor. Make a new acquaintance. Come join us in following Christ.

Sacred Citrus : an orange on the Lord's Table

Recalling Jesus’ practice of open table fellowship, we place an orange on the Lord's Table in the hope that one day every community of faith will welcome people of every race, economic status, gender and sexual orientation, and special ability.
This practice is inspired by Rabbi Susannah Heschel who, in the early 80's began the tradition of putting an orange on her Passover Seder plate to represent the fullness of Judaism when LGBTQ persons were truly welcome in the community of God’s people.
St Stephen Lutheran Church is a congregation of the New England Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We are a Reconciling in Christ congregation, proudly embracing our God-given diversity.
