Spring Clothing Giveaway was a Success!

St. Stephen offered approximately 1000 pieces of clothing, plus scarves, purses and costume jewelry free to members of the community at its April 2 Clothing Giveaway. In addition, the church held special hours for clients referred by local social service agencies.
    Below, committee members show some of the items gathered by church members and their friends. Beth Warner of Stow, center, chaired the event. With Beth are committee members Yong Hee Spiller, left, of Hudson, and Marlea Dutt, right, also of Hudson. Other committee members included Anita Phelan of Marlborough, Tammy Kaye of Shrewsbury, and Barbara Parente of Bolton. The church holds two clothing giveaways each year, one in the spring and one in the fall, and strives to collect clothing that is clean, in good condition, and ready-to-wear. The fall event typically takes place in November.
